Chevron Oil Refinery
This 110 000 barrel per day refinery has been in operation since 1966. In addition to a full range of fuels, Chevron produces sulfur, gas and paving asphalt at this wholly owned refinery.
Pollution
In January 2006, Chevron refinery in Milnerton was fined R2 500 by the City of Cape Town after deposits of droplets of oily water were found on cars in the Killarney Gardens industrial area.
Not everybody is happy with a Refinery on their doorstep
